Krystal Ixtapa — Promotional Resort Stay
Krystal Ixtapa — Pacific Coast
Contact for pricing · All-inclusive available · Couples + Families
Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is one of Mexico’s hidden gems — Pacific beaches without the Cancún crowds or prices. While everyone else fights for pool chairs on the Riviera Maya, you’re on a quiet stretch of Pacific coastline that most American tourists have never heard of.
This is for couples or families who want a genuine Mexican beach vacation without the tourist-industrial complex.
What Sets This Property Apart
Ixtapa was purpose-built as a resort destination in the 1970s, backed by the natural beauty of Zihuatanejo — a traditional fishing village just 15 minutes away. You get modern resort infrastructure (good roads, reliable services, clean beaches) with a neighboring town that has actual character and history.
The Krystal property is a beach resort with all-inclusive options, pools, and multiple dining venues. The Pacific coast setting means dramatic sunsets, warmer water than the Caribbean, and a different vibe entirely from the Yucatán Peninsula properties.
Zihuatanejo is worth the taxi ride. A working fishing village turned charming tourist-friendly town — think waterfront seafood restaurants, small boutiques, and local craft markets without the aggressive sales pressure of Cancún’s tourist zones.
Honest Expectations
Ixtapa is not Cancún. There’s no massive nightlife scene, no row of international chain restaurants, no megamall. That’s the appeal. But if you need constant entertainment options beyond the resort and beach, you may feel limited after a few days.
The Pacific coast has stronger currents and waves than the Caribbean. Swimming conditions vary by beach and season. The resort beach is generally safe, but always check with lifeguards.
Getting here requires a connecting flight through Mexico City (airport code ZIH). There are no direct flights from most U.S. cities. Factor in travel time — this is a “slow down and stay a while” destination, not a quick weekend trip.
