What Sets This Property Apart

The walkability factor is hard to beat. El Malecón is Puerto Vallarta’s iconic seaside boardwalk — sculpture garden, street performers, restaurants, bars, and sunset views. Most resorts in the PV area are a $20 taxi ride away. This one is walking distance.

Puerto Vallarta proper has the charm that most resort zones lack — cobblestone streets, independent restaurants, a vibrant art scene, and a genuine Mexican city atmosphere rather than a sanitized tourist bubble. Staying at this Krystal puts you in the middle of that, with the resort as your home base.

The property itself is a beach resort with direct ocean access on Banderas Bay. Pools, restaurants, and the standard resort amenities are all on-site.

Honest Expectations

Like the Cancún Krystal, this is a 4-star property — well-maintained and consistently rated, but not ultra-luxury. The rooms are comfortable, the beach is real, and the service is solid. Just calibrate your expectations to “very good resort” rather than “five-star boutique.”

Puerto Vallarta’s location on the bay means the ocean here can have waves and currents. It’s swimmable, but it’s not the glass-calm Caribbean water you’d get in Cancún. Check conditions with the lifeguards.

The city location means street noise is part of the deal, especially on weekends. Light sleepers should request an interior or higher-floor room.
