Choose Isla Mujeres from Cancun
Isla Mujeres is the simplest Cancun island day. The ferry route is close, Playa Norte is easy to understand, golf carts make the island feel playful, and the day can be short or long depending on the group.
Choose Cozumel from Playa del Carmen
Cozumel is a better fit from Playa del Carmen, Playacar, and Riviera Maya resorts that can reach the ferry without crossing the whole region first. It is stronger for reef, diving, and a bigger island feel.
